This position will support research activities in power systems. It will assist with software development, simulation setup, data processing, code testing, benchmarking, documentation, and preparation of research deliverables under supervision. Support research projects in artificial intelligence applications for power systems through data analytics, large language model (LLM) development, data engineering, and software prototyping. The position provides hands-on experience in applying AI technologies to energy systems research while supporting the development of research tools and workflows.
The Mike Wiegers Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, as one of the eight departments within the Carl R. Ice College of Engineering, has 19 faculty members and approximately 500 undergraduate and graduate students. The department is located in the new Engineering Hall equipped with the state-of-the-art research laboratories, classrooms, and office spaces.
