About the Position
This is a time limited position (NS-14). The Data/Quality Director serves within the Office of STD/HIV and provides leadership for the program's data, quality management, performance monitoring, and analytic activities. The position directs the collection, review, analysis, and interpretation of complex STD/HIV data to support statewide planning, quality improvement, and compliance with reporting requirements. The incumbent oversees data-related workflows and supervises staff involved in data management, reporting, monitoring, and quality functions to help ensure information used for decision-making is accurate, timely, and aligned with program priorities. Duties include leading the development/review of reports, dashboards, and other data products, identifying trends and gaps, and supporting continuous quality improvement efforts. The position is essential to helping the Office track outcomes, evaluate progress, and strengthen data-informed prevention and care continuum activities across Mississippi.
What youll need to be Successful
The successful applicant will need knowledge of data analysis, data quality, performance monitoring, and quality improvement principles. The position requires the ability to interpret data, identify trends and gaps, and support program planning and decision-making. Knowledge of public health reporting requirements and program monitoring processes will be important. Strong organizational, communication, and supervisory skills are also needed. Proficiency in data systems, reporting tools, and spreadsheets will be necessary to maintain accuracy and meet deadlines.
