Research & Development Sampler - Erlanger, KY


Job Summary

The R&D Sampler supports the Research & Development team by preparing, handling, and distributing samples used in product development, testing, and evaluation. This role is responsible for ensuring samples are accurately prepared, labeled, stored, and documented in accordance with established procedures, safety requirements, and quality standards.


Key Responsibilities


+ Prepare, measure, and package raw materials, intermediates, and finished product samples for R&D trials, testing, and customer evaluations

+ Accurately label samples with required identification, batch, and tracking information

+ Maintain proper storage conditions for samples to preserve integrity and compliance

+ Document sample preparation, movement, and disposal in R&D tracking systems or logs

+ Coordinate with R&D scientists, product developers, and technicians to meet sample needs and timelines

+ Clean, sanitize, and maintain sampling tools, equipment, and work areas

+ Follow all safety, quality, and regulatory procedures, including GMP and lab safety standards

+ Assist with inventory tracking of materials used for sampling and testing

+ Support general R&D activities as assigned, including setup for trials or pilot runs


Required Qualifications


+ High school diploma or GED

+ Basic understanding of laboratory, manufacturing, or product testing environments

+ Ability to follow detailed instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs)

+ Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

+ Ability to stand, lift, and handle materials (up 55lbs)

+ Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation


Work Environment & Physical Requirements


+ Laboratory, pilot plant, or manufacturing support setting

+ Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required

+ Standing, walking, lifting, and handling materials throughout the shift

+ May require temperature-controlled or production-adjacent work areas

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours.
