Research EngineerRequired education: Master's degree in a STEM field with 2+ years of professional experience OR Bachelor's degree in a STEM field with 5+ years of professional experience.Required qualifications:Experience operating laboratory, engineering, industrial, or testing equipment.Programming experience with Python, C#, C++, or similar language.Strong analytical and technical problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.Ability to work full-time onsite in the St. Louis, Missouri area.Preferred qualifications:Agricultural research experience.Laboratory automation or instrumentation experience.Experience with sensors, test systems, or engineering equipment.Experience working in multidisciplinary R&D organizations.Summary: Seeking a motivated Research Engineer to support innovative agricultural research through laboratory operations, engineering testing, equipment maintenance, and experimental data collection. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on engineering work, solving technical challenges, and collaborating with multidisciplinary research teams developing next-generation agricultural technologies.Responsibilities:Conduct laboratory experiments and engineering tests following established protocols.Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain laboratory and engineering equipment.Prepare research samples and testing materials.Collect, organize, and analyze experimental data.Create technical reports, charts, and presentations to communicate research findings.Maintain laboratory equipment, inventory, and operational readiness.Ensure laboratory safety and compliance with company and regulatory standards.Collaborate with scientists and engineers to support ongoing research projects.Assist with evaluating new laboratory technologies, equipment, and testing processes.Drug screen & criminal background check will be required.
