Under general supervision the Grant/Contract Manager III is responsible for:
Monitoring the financial status of multiple grants within a functional group or team of Principal Investigators (PIs) in a department or division.
This role ensures compliance with accounting procedures, analyzes expenses to allocate grant funds accurately, and collaborates across departments to resolve accounting discrepancies in a timely manner.
Additionally, this role will assist PIs in preparing research grant applications, focusing on budget preparation in adherence to internal and external guidelines.
This position requires strong financial forecasting, problem solving, and communication skills.
EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Bachelor's degree in health sciences, health related field, finance, or business.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Three (3) years of experience in project management, research, grant or contract management, or finance.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
Strong analytical ability with attention to detail.
Excellent problem-solving skills.
Good interpersonal, verbal, and written skills.
