Role Title: Research Department Intern – Academic Programming & Content Development

The Opportunity

The Medica Zone is seeking Research Department Interns who are interested in academic programming, healthcare research, and educational content development. This role is ideal for students looking to gain experience in research coordination, scientific communication, and event planning within a nonprofit setting. Interns will play a key role in executing research-based initiatives and supporting the organization's educational mission.

Core Responsibilities:

Research Competition Coordination: Assist in planning and executing the organization's summer research competition, including participant communication, tracking submissions, and supporting judging logistics.

Seminars & Guest Speaker Outreach: Help identify, recruit, and coordinate healthcare professionals and researchers for virtual seminars and speaker events.

Content Creation (Blogs & Research Spotlights): Contribute to writing and publishing blog posts that translate complex healthcare and research topics into accessible content for a broader audience.

Recruitment & Engagement: Support outreach efforts to attract participants for research initiatives and maintain engagement throughout the cohort.

We are looking for individuals who are detail-oriented, intellectually curious, strong communicators, and interested in research and healthcare topics. No prior research experience is required, but a willingness to learn and contribute is essential.
