INP6940-Industrial Psychology Internship/Practicum

Internship Summary:

The purpose of this internship is for graduate students to gain valuable work experience in the field of organizational sciences and industrial-organizational psychology that will allow them to apply what they have learned throughout their time in the master's program. The goal of this course is to provide graduate students with relevant job experience that will increase their marketability after graduation. While the nature of the work may change during the time-period of the internship, the purpose of providing a scope of work is to clarify expectations and establish clear outcomes. This internship is for six-graduate credits that count toward the M.S. in Psychology and are necessary for graduation. This position offers an hourly wage of $13/hr.

What we expect from you:

• Dates: August 31 - December 31
• Weekly Hours: 16-20 hrs. per week for entire semester of 16 weeks)

What will you be doing:

• Project Deliverables

• Project deliverables refer to the results, that is, the quantifiable outcomes of the project activity.

• Please describe what you see as the final product or artifact.

• This can be a final report, white paper, document or instrument, presentation, etc. Or combination thereof

• Timelines & Milestones

• Providing major project meeting/updates

• Reporting

• Indicates how the intern will be reporting progress on the project. This should come in both written and verbal, formal and informal.
