Position Summary

Performs routine experiments and assists with laboratory duties in a research setting; performs routine tests with direction from the supervisor or manager.

Job Description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist in conducting experiments.
  • Assist with miscellaneous projects and experiments.
  • Monitor/evaluate experiments.
  • Maintain records/reports.
  • Collect data from experiments.
  • Perform data analysis.
  • Write interpretative reports/summaries.
  • Conduct literature searches.
  • May contribute to the design of experimental protocols and research.
  • Order lab supplies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions:

  • Works in a laboratory environment with potential exposure to biological and chemical hazards.
  • Must be physically able to wear protective equipment and to provide standard care to research animals.
