    Duration: 12 month fixed-term appointment

    Remuneration: Pro rata - $100,155 - 108,106 pa HEW 6 plus 17% super

    The Opportunity

    Join the Kwan Lab at Monash Biomedicine Discovery Institute and Eastern Health Clinical School and contribute to innovative translational prostate cancer research. As a Research Officer, you’ll provide high-quality bioinformatics and computational research support across genomics, epigenomics and transcriptomics datasets, helping translate complex data into meaningful research outcomes.

    You’ll develop, execute, maintain and document reproducible bioinformatics workflows, undertaking data processing, quality control and analysis across tumour tissue and liquid biopsy datasets. Working with researchers, clinicians and collaborators, you’ll prepare high-quality analyses, reports and research outputs while ensuring robust data management and computational standards.

    Bring your expertise in bioinformatics, computational biology, biostatistics or a related discipline, with strong programming skills in R, Python or similar languages. Experience with Unix/Linux, high-performance computing, workflow tools such as Nextflow or Snakemake, and genomic or transcriptomic analysis will be highly valued. This is an opportunity to apply your technical expertise to research with real-world impact in prostate cancer.
