Job Summary

The Department of Neuroscience and the laboratory of Dr. Lance Johnson are seeking an experienced and highly organized Research Project Manager to provide day-to-day operations for multiple NIH- and foundation-funded research projects within the Johnson lab.

This position will coordinate project planning and implementation across faculty, trainees, staff, and external collaborators; track timelines and deliverables; and ensure clear documentation, communication, and follow-through.

The Project Manager will provide grant administration support including budget tracking, reporting timelines, and preparation of sponsor-facing materials (e.g., progress report components) in coordination with the PI and university partners. The role also includes organizing meetings, events, and travel; preparing agendas and action-item tracking; and supporting the development of scholarly products (manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and presentations) through coordination, editing support, and version control. Limited effort will support regulatory and human subjects documentation/IRB coordination as needed.

The ideal candidate is professional, discreet, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative research environment.
