The Research Foundation for Mental Hygiene and the New York State Office of Mental Health are seeking a Research Scientist III to join the Office of Mental Health. The NYS Office of Mental Health (OMH) is continuing the Resiliency in Communities After Stress and Trauma (ReCast) program to assist the Black/African American communities in Buffalos most highly impacted by the May 14, 2022 Tops Supermarket mass shooting.
ReCAST Buffalo is a 4 year project focused on children/youth in this community and is funded by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) through September 2027. Through a variety of approaches including non-traditional mental wellness programs, NYS OMH is addressing patient and health care system impediments to accessing mental health care and treatment by Black/African Americans.
The incumbent in this position will direct a program of data management, analysis, and reporting of program performance. This work supports the development and production of quarterly reports and other deliverables required by SAMHSA. The Research Scientist III will report to an OMH Office of Population Health and Evaluation staff member.
