| Purpose of the Position: | We are currently searching for a Research Scientist III, who will fulfill obligations of the AMPR science along with NASA projects INCUS and CYGNSS. The incumbent will:
• Manage and support INCUS calibration/validation activities via processing and analysis of meteorological datasets, in particular those collected with polarimetric and phased-array weather radars, and assisting with INCUS field campaign planning and execution. • Process and analyze AMPR, GPM, and related microwave radiometer and other datasets to perform retrievals of brightness temperatures and related geophysical variables, including the use of deep learning models. • Development and analysis of customized CYGNSS wind speed products, especially in relation to other scatterometer and microwave remote sensing datasets, as well as convective storms. |
| Minimum Requirements: | • Master's degree, preferably in science, engineering, or business, 2-4 years of full-time work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and years of experience. • Knowledge of MS Office Suite, and related software and hardware • Must be an US Citizen |
