Role Purpose
We are seeking highly motivated and skilled scientist to join our innovative Brittle Materials team in Product Reliability Technology directorate. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a highly skilled scientist with a strong background in mechanical, or materials engineering to advance the development of fundamental mechanical behavior models, reliability methodologies, and characterization techniques for glass, glass‑ceramics, ceramics and thin optical films.
As part of Corning's core research organization, you will support development of cutting-edge solutions that support our key business units like Automotive, Mobile Consumer Electronics, and Advanced Optics. The range for this position is $66,381.00 - $91,274.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
