Responsibilities Drive infrastructure software design and implementation, including compute, storage, database, and networking. Proactively identify and drive optimizations and improvements to the infrastructure systems. Debug and analyze performance of infrastructure software systems. Collect end-to-end requirements from business partners and make trade-offs in designing system. Stay updated about the latest research papers on databases, networking, systems, and large language models (LLMs). Research and prepare technical documentation, including technical reports, patents, and conference papers. Mentor junior research engineers.Qualifications Must have a PhD degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering (any), Information Systems, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field, and 2 years of related work and/or research experience; OR a Master's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering (any), Information Systems, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field, and 4 years of related work and/or research experience.
Of the required experience, must have 2 years of experience in each of the following: Building large-scale software and systems using open-sourced framework; Programming using C, C++, Python, or Java; Working with general infrastructure systems including parallel and distributed systems, cloud computing (e.g., Ray), or cloud storage; Designing data-processing pipelines, machine learning (ML) or graph processing systems; and Implementing machine learning algorithms, performance analysis, and computer architecture.
