Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Research Scientist. The Research Scientist will provide scientific and regulatory research support to support the growth, operations, and research activities of the Eosinophilic Gastrointestinal Diseases (EGID) Program at NYU Grossman School of Medicine. The position will provide scientific collaboration and expert research support across study development, regulatory strategy, protocol preparation, educational initiatives, and complex research activities.
The role is designed for an experienced research professional with extensive expertise in academic clinical research, study startup, IRB and regulatory processes, protocol development, and scientific writing. The individual will contribute high-level scientific and regulatory expertise across complex research activities while supporting the development and execution of EGID studies, educational activities, and related program initiatives.
Job Responsibilities:
Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a MS degree and 2-4 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Post-secondary degree in a relevant field (e.g., clinical research, public health, psychology, healthcare administration, life sciences, business, or related discipline).
15+ years of progressive experience in academic clinical research, scientific research support, regulatory affairs, program support, or related research roles.
Demonstrated experience leading investigator-initiated, industry-sponsored, federally funded, and collaborative research studies from development through execution.
Strong expertise in protocol development, scientific writing, grant support, feasibility review, study startup, and regulatory research processes.
Extensive experience with IRB submissions, regulatory strategy, compliance activities, and complex study startup processes.
Experience supporting workflows, research infrastructure, and study execution activities within an academic medical center or complex healthcare environment.
Strong knowledge of IRB, regulatory, compliance, contracting, budgeting, and cross-functional research processes.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work independently, contribute scientific expertise, and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
Experience supporting academic presentations, educational activities, or scientific programming preferred.
PMP certification or equivalent project management credential preferred.
Experience in gastroenterology, immunology, rare disease, or eosinophilic gastrointestinal disorders preferred.
Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $32.14 - $44.51 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need.
