Job Summary The candidate will study the molecular mechanism of mitochondrial protein biogenesis in human cells. Essential Job Duties Structural analysis of mitochondrial membrane proteins. Development of fluorescent and luminescence-based assays for mitochondrial protein biogenesis. Protein purification for structural and biochemical analysis. Prepare research reports, drafts and presentations for internal meetings, publications, grant proposals and conferences. Basic Qualifications PhD in molecular biology and/or biochemistry. 3+ years of experience in single particle cryo-EM data collection, data processing, and model building. 3+ years of experience in reconstitution of mitochondrial membrane protein biogenesis in vitro. Experience in development of high throughout assays for mitochondrial protein biogenesis using both fluorescent and luminescence-based screening approaches. Experience in tissue culture of diverse mammalian cell types. 3+ years of experience in protein purification of membrane proteins from human, insect, and E.coli cells. Required Documents Resume.
