Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Research Scientist/Senior Research Scientist to join our lab team on a contract basis. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in developing and executing assays.

Responsibilities

• Develop assays related to antibody discovery.
• Execute laboratory workflows efficiently.
• Author documents and Electronic Lab Notebook entries.
• Create Standard Operating Procedures and other laboratory documentation.
• Present results and key findings at project and group meetings.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in assay development and antibody discovery.
• Experience with lab automation, Surface Plasmon Resonance (SPR), and Biolayer Interferometry (BLI).
• Knowledge of ELISA, HEK293, CHO, DSF/SLS/DLS, CE-SDS, transfection, and purification.
• Bachelor"s or Master's degree in Biology, Chemistry, or a related scientific field.
• 3-10 years of industry experience in antibody discovery or antibody R&D.
• Experience with antibodies or recombinant proteins and protein-binding methods.
• Experience with mammalian cell culture.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with automation.
• Familiarity with developability or functional assays for antibody drug development.

Work Environment

Flexible work schedule from Monday to Friday, with occasional weekends. Ideal for individuals passionate about supporting scientific research with a talent for organization and operations management.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Seattle, WA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $67.50/hr.
