Job Summary:
Northwestern's Department of Linguistics seeks a Research Study Assistant to coordinate its research facilities, equipment, and resources, and to oversee day-to-day activities of its research labs.
The Linguistics researchers (faculty, research staff, graduate students, and undergraduate research assistants) employ a variety of methods including behavioral measures, eye tracking, and audio and video recording. The RSA will support the researchers in all aspects of experiment implementation and data collection, including equipment solutions and data management methods, assessment of software programs, and developing new user interfaces where necessary. The RSA will create and maintain user documentation, oversee the maintenance of hardware, and ensure the smooth functioning of computers and equipment for researchers and study participants.
This is a full-time position at 37.5 hours per week where work is performed on site at the Evanston campus. The target hiring range for this position will be between $17.05 - $20.00 per hour which is $33,375 - $39,150 per year. Offered salary will be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
This is a one-year term position renewable based on project needs and funding.
