The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty training, and internal pay comparison. The above hiring range represents the Universitys good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Seeking a research technician who will be a proactive, organized, and helpful presence in a newly established group. Experience in cellular and molecular experimental techniques is ideal but not required. The Research Technician provides technical and operational support for a laboratory research program focused on experimental studies using mouse models.
Responsibilities: • Performs routine molecular and laboratory assays under established protocols and close scientific supervision. • Contributes to animal-based research, including behavioral assays and transgenic mouse colony maintenance. • Supports experimental characterization efforts. • Accurately documents experimental procedures and results. • Maintains laboratory supply inventory and prepares standard reagents.
Work Environment The position is responsible for accurate documentation of experimental procedures and results as well as maintaining laboratory supply inventory and preparation of standard reagents. Work is performed in a structured research environment with defined procedures requiring reliability and strong organizational skills. Guidance is provided on techniques and tasks.
Required Skills Bachelors required with 1-3 years of related experience.
