The Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences (VMBS) is an institution that represents 100 years of growth from a small school of veterinary medicine in 1916 to its present role as a major veterinary educational, medical, and research center. What we want

The Research Technician I performs entry level, technical support for Evolutionary Medicine Research lab taking inventory of samples from freezers.

What you need to know

Salary: Will be commensurate based on the selected hire’s education and experience.   

Location/Schedule: College Station, TX/Part-Time; This position may require work beyond normal office hours and/or on weekends.

Responsibilities

Inventory

  • Taking inventory of genomic samples for research across six -80 freezers.
  • Taking inventory of genomic samples for research across three -20 freezers.

Required Education and Experience

  • HS Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Two years of related experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in medical research laboratory handling inventory of genetic materials

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
