Job Title: Research Technician I - Pediatrics - Allergy & Immunology

Work Arrangement: Onsite only

Location: Houston, TX

Salary Range: $32,355 - $38,065

FLSA Status: Nonexempt

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Summary

We are a new laboratory studying the genetic and immunological causes of human disease, with a focus on immune deficiency and immune dysregulation. We are seeking a curious, energetic, and passionate junior research technician who can thrive in a fast-paced and evolving research environment. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, proactive in learning, embraces challenges with enthusiasm, and values teamwork.

We are particularly interested in candidates who are comfortable with technology, curious and eager to learn new techniques and technologies, and willing to be versatile as the needs of the laboratory evolve.

Job Duties

  • Maintain genomic DNA extraction from saliva and buccal samples from patients.
  • Assist with bacterial culture and plasmid extraction.
  • Assist with basic flow cytometry experiments.
  • Support day-to-day laboratory operations and contribute as a team player.
  • Assist with bacterial culture and plasmid extraction.
  • Order reagents for all lab members.
  • Perform other job related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate''s degree in a Basic Science or related field. Two years of related experience may substitute for degree requirement.
  • One year of relevant experience.

Work Authorization Requirement:
