Qualifications:
1-5 years experience
Hands on experience in general laboratory tasks including proper chemical handling
Basic data processing and analysis
Manages and documents projects and tasks effectively with supervision
Materials processing experience is a plus
Work experience related to abrasives is preferred
Responsibilities:
The responsibilities of the Research Technician include:
Safely performs specialized R&D assignments, involving testing, analyzing, improving, installing, operating, and/or solving problems concerning our processes, equipment, and products.
Supports engineers and scientists in R&D team with their projects
Prepares/processes materials samples including:
Active involvement in standard and exploratory experiment design,
Routine laboratory activity to make or prep materials and test samples,
Development work with non-routine R&D assignments such as design of fixtures for experimental set-up and establishing proper data acquisition.
Lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
Work in both the R&D and industry environments at the same time
