Target hiring range for this position will be between $17.05-$21.31 per hour. Offered salary will be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data
Job Summary:
The Research Technologist will perform duties in the Lucks Laboratory for RNA Engineering at Northwestern University to support projects on mega scale characterization of RNA dynamics and function. Responsibilities include RNA library synthesis and purification, chemical probing experiments, and next-generation sequencing workflows. The position requires hands-on experience with standard molecular biology and biochemistry techniques, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively.
This is a 1-year termed position with the option for renewal based on available funding and performance.
Specific Responsibilities:
Follows pre-defined protocols, policies, procedure, regulations, Good Clinical and Good Laboratory Practices and conducts standard and repetitive experiments and completes basic trouble-shooting techniques.Sets-up, operates and maintains standard lab equipment.
