Plan, prepare for and execute cell culture techniques, including cell maintenance, passaging, and cryopreservation. Execute molecular biology experiments such as DNA/RNA isolation, PCR, qPCR, ELISA, and Western blotting. Maintain laboratory inventories and manage experimental data. Additionally, they will need to be comfortable collecting and preparing human placental tissue from newly delivered patients for culture experiments as well as isolation of primary cells.

Preferred Experience:

Familiarity with standard lab techniques, such as:

• Pipetting and sample preparation
• Cell culture (if applicable)
• PCR, ELISA, Western blot, or similar assays
• Basic microscopy

Experience maintaining lab records or lab notebooks

Exposure to research protocols and following SOPs

Basic data entry or analysis (Excel, simple data tracking)

Experience with IRB, human subjects, or clinical research

Inventory management or ordering supplies
