Researcher/Scientist III, Department of Child Health (College of Medicine-Phoenix)

Conduct advanced multi-disciplinary research requiring knowledge of standard scientific protocols and principles.

Troubleshoot and modify procedures and techniques when appropriate.

Develop design and conduct complex research projects according to research protocol.

Adapt new methods to existing procedures and modify current experiments through scientific knowledge and intuition.

Maintain accurate and detailed records of all laboratory work and experiments.

Derive analyze and format data for publications presentations and grant proposals.

Perform statistical and graphical analysis of data.

Independently reproduce evaluate research and improve techniques currently used.

Discuss relevant insights about experimental results with Faculty and provide useful recommendations and analysis.

Present results at laboratory meetings conferences and publish papers.

Ensure regulatory compliance of research activities.

Write and submit grant proposals which includes preparing technical andor scientific proposals for grants developing and coordinating budgets administrative elements and needed materials.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

Knowledge of coordinating experiments and completing analysis statistics and interpretation.

Ability to communicate in a clear concise manner orally and in writing.

Ability to participate at scientific conferences and present findings.

Ability to develop reports and present in tabular oral written and graphic formats.

Proficiency in using computers to automate tasks.
