Position Summary -Salary Range $70,000 - $73,000 Annually 

The Reservations Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the hotel’s reservations department, ensuring a seamless and exceptional booking experience for guests while maximizing room revenue and occupancy. This role manages reservation agents and processes, monitors room inventory and rate accuracy, supports revenue strategies, and collaborates closely with Front Office, Sales, and Revenue Management to optimize guest satisfaction and business performance.

Essential Functions

  • Must participate in all hotel required meetings and trainings. 
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which includes wearing the proper uniform/business attire and nametag. 
  • Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written with all levels of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner. 
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the reservations department, ensuring timely, accurate, and professional handling of all guest inquiries and bookings. 
  • Supervise, coach, and develop reservations team members to deliver exceptional guest service and meet departmental performance goals. 
  • Monitor room inventory, availability, restrictions, and rate codes to ensure accuracy across all booking channels. 
  • Ensure reservation policies, procedures, and standards are consistently followed. 
  • Review and manage group blocks, special rooming lists, and reservation details in coordination with Sales and Events teams. 
  • Partner with Revenue Management and Front Office leadership to support occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, and overall room revenue goals. 
  • Analyze booking pace, cancellation trends, no-show activity, and reservation patterns to identify opportunities and risks. 
  • Assist with implementing revenue strategies, promotions, packages, and upsell opportunities. 
  • Maintain strong working knowledge of the property management system (PMS), CRS, OTA extranets, and other reservations platforms. 
  • Participate in monthly forecasting and weekly scheduling; daily reviews, operating results and take immediate corrective action as required.  
  • Monitor oversold dates to ensure the maximization of rooms revenue. 
  • Maximize room revenue and occupancy by reviewing status daily.  Analyze rate variance, monitor credit report, and maintain close observation of daily house count. 
  • Maintains high visibility with team members and guests. 
  • Respond to all guest requests in accordance with Hotel guidelines. 
  • Monitor all V.I.P.'s, special guests, and requests. 
  • Conduct walk-throughs of public areas and guestrooms to ensure that cleanliness and maintenance standards are met. 
  • Abide by all hotel policies and safety rules. 
  • Perform other duties as requested by management. 

Qualifications 

  • Minimum of 1 year of Front Office management experience. 
  • Must be able to multitask and possess strong communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Strong public relations skills (especially in relation to hotel guests). 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is preferred. 

Working Conditions and Schedule  

  • Weekend and holiday availability is required as well as flexibility with work schedule. 
  • The scope of the position may sometimes require a work week over 40 hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays. 
  • Medium work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. 
  • Frequently standing up behind the desk and front office areas. 

Occasionally role requires sitting at the desk in front of the computer for an extended period of time.
