    Requirements / Qualifications

    Licenses/Certificates/Registrations Required: - Must have a valid California driver's license and have (and maintain) an insurable driving record acceptable to the District's insurance carrier. - Possession of required California Commission on P.O.S.T. training certificate (Basic Police Academy or Reserve Module A Level III Academy, Module B Level II Academy); or possession of a valid California Commission on P.O.S.T. Basic Course Police Academy waiver.

    Qualifications: - High school graduate or equivalent. - Some college level training in political science, criminal justice or a related field is desirable. - Must be at least 20 ½ years of age at the time of application. Eligibility Requirements: - Standard Psychiatric Evaluation. - Comprehensive background investigation POST. - Medical examination/drug screening. - Citizen or permanent resident alien who is eligible and has applied for citizenship.
