Summary
\nRaisa Energy is a technology-driven investment platform in the oil and gas non-operated space, managing over $2.5 billion in assets across approximately 20,000 producing wells and 10,000 future locations in basins including the Anadarko, Appalachia, DJ, Fayetteville, Williston, and Uinta.
\n\n
We are seeking a Reservoir Engineer who understands the underlying mechanics of Aries and ComboCurve, not simply their user interfaces. This individual will manage reserve assumptions across a multi-basin, multi-operator portfolio, while contributing to acquisition and divestment evaluations. This role balances rigorous stewardship of existing assets with disciplined risking and valuation of new opportunities across the Lower 48. It's a dynamic, fast-paced environment with a genuinely collaborative team.
\nResponsibilities
\n· Oversee and improve Raisa's automated type curve and type curve area-building process across the Lower 48
\n· Manage and quality-control well-level assumptions (forecasts, type curves, and commercial) across a multi-basin, multi-operator portfolio, applying statistical methods to identify inconsistencies, outlier performance, and data quality issues at scale
\n· Maintain and enhance Raisa's proprietary LOE model, built on cost data across 20,000+ wells, used in both internal reserves reporting and external evaluations
\n· Evaluate acquisitions, divestments, and organic well elections, from large, marketed processes to smaller bolt-ons; applying sound engineering judgment to risk and value opportunities under deadline pressure
\n· Partner with finance and land teams on acquisition and divestment transactions, and with accounting and outside auditors on year-end reserves reporting and audits
\n· Integrate workover activity into reserves assumptions; tracking which wells are down, why, and expected return-to-production timing
\n· Analyze JIB data across 100+ operators to identify assumption-relevant trends and automate the connection between billing data and evaluation workflows
\n· Apply structural knowledge of Aries and ComboCurve, including database architecture and calculation methodology, to ensure assumption integrity from input through valuation
\n· Partner with the data and analytics team to advance Raisa's proprietary, intelligence-driven evaluation platform
\n\n
Desired Qualifications and Skills
\n· 2–6 years of experience in reservoir engineering, reserves engineering, or A&D evaluation
\n· Demonstrated technical fluency in Aries and ComboCurve at a structural level
\n· Strong quantitative and statistical aptitude, with working proficiency in SQL and Spotfire
\n· Comfort working across multiple basins including a large, dynamic operator base, with the judgment to prioritize under deadline pressure
\n· Bachelor of Science in Petroleum, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering
\nSalary range: $150,000 - $200,000
