Residence Manager

Schedule: Full-time, all shifts available (may include evenings, overnight, weekends, and holidays as needed)

Pay: $25.00-$26.25 per hour

The Residence Manager is responsible for the overall operation, supervision, and success of assigned residential programs. This role provides leadership to staff, ensures regulatory compliance, and supports high-quality, person-centered services for residents (people receiving services).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The Residence Managers responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Oversee daily operations of residential programs to ensure quality care and regulatory compliance
  • Supervise, support, and develop Assistant Residence Managers and Direct Support Professionals
  • Manage staffing needs, including scheduling, performance management, and hiring support
  • Ensure accurate, timely documentation and compliance with agency, OPWDD, and billing requirements
  • Support implementation of service plans while promoting resident independence, safety, and well-being
  • Participate in on-call rotation and respond to emergencies or staffing needs as required
  • Monitor program environments, addressing safety concerns and coordinating maintenance needs
  • Collaborate with families, staff, and external partners to support resident outcomes
  • Facilitate team communication and maintain a positive, team-oriented culture
  • Ensure staff complete all required training and maintain necessary certifications
  • Submit maintenance requests and follow up on facility-related issues
  • Maintain strong working relationships with staff, residents, families, and community partners

Requirements

  • Associate degree with 3 years experience working in an OPWDD or similar Human Services settings. Or, A combination of education and experience that in the opinion of the agency, exceeds this standard.
  • Valid NY State drivers license with a driving record acceptable to the agencys insurance carrier require
  • Ability to lift and assist with up to 50 pounds (including transfers and physical support)
