Position Summary
Provide oversight to shelter guests and complete necessary paperwork. Attend to the immediate needs of the guests and encourage a safe and harmonious shelter atmosphere.
Essential Responsibilities
• Assist with menu planning • Supervise common areas, including dorms, lounges, clothing closet, and laundry room • De-escalate conflict and manage crises as necessary • Excellent verbal and written communication • Perform daily resident and security checks on guests rooms and exterior of the building
General Office Duties
• Answering the phone • Filing • Typing • Record keeping • Recording shift summaries
• Attend all trainings and staff meetings as directed • Cleaning and janitorial work as required, including laundry as needed • Keep dryer vents clear of dust and lint • Assist deep cleaning of the kitchen • Floor upkeep, including dining room, office, and laundry room
In the absence of the cook, perform kitchen duties
Must remain on duty until replacement arrives
Perform other duties as assigned

Education
• High School Diploma • GED or any equivalent combination of training and experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent combination of training and experience
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
• Maintain client confidentiality • Computer Skills • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 • Working knowledge of TEAMS and SharePoint • Certificates and Licenses • Must have and maintain a current valid drivers license • Pass the Salvation Army Motor Vehicle Record check (MVR) • Complete Safe From Harm training and keep current as needed
