Resident Barista

Cosh Coffee (pronounced "cho-shay") is a craft-first coffee bar built on one idea: every cup made by hand, from the best ingredients we can find. Our ingredients are hand-selected from Italy and other premium sources, our espresso is pulled on an AMG-tuned espresso machine, and every drink is served alongside fresh sparkling water carbonated in-house on an Aarke.

We're hiring a barista to train directly under our master barista since 2009 behind the machine. This is a hands-on apprenticeship as much as a job: you'll learn the craft from someone who has spent nearly two decades perfecting it.

You'll learn to build our handcrafted menu:

Every drink made from hand-selected ingredients and dialed in daily on our AMG-tuned espresso machine, served with fresh Aarke sparkling water.

• Train one-on-one under a master barista with 17 years of experience
  
• Pull espresso, steam and texture milk, and build drinks to exact spec
  
• Dial in grind, dose, and extraction daily on the espresso machine
  
• Prepare fresh sparkling water in-house on the Aarke carbonator
  
• Keep the bar and equipment spotless daily cleaning and machine care routines
  
• Deliver warm, attentive customer service
  
• Handle opening and closing duties as scheduled
  

• Genuine passion for coffee and craft prior experience is a plus, not required (we train you)
  
• Reliable and punctual for full 8-hour shifts
  
• Comfortable on your feet in a fast-paced bar environment
  
• Coachable willing to learn exacting standards and repeat them on every cup
  
• Able to obtain food handler certification if required

Compensation: $15.00/hour + Commission, contract, 8-hour shifts
