Resident Care Assistant

Rivercrest Place Assisted Living is seeking a compassionate and dependable individual to join our care team in supporting residents with daily living needs and helping create a safe, respectful, and welcoming environment. In this role, you will provide hands-on assistance, companionship, and encouragement while promoting dignity, comfort, and independence for every resident.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility, and toileting as needed
• Provide companionship and emotional support in a respectful and professional manner
• Support residents with mealtime assistance, hydration, and routine daily needs
• Monitor residents for changes in condition and report concerns promptly to the appropriate team members
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable living environment
• Follow care plans, safety procedures, and facility policies at all times
• Document care and observations accurately according to organizational guidelines
• Collaborate with nurses, supervisors, and other team members to support quality resident care
• Encourage resident independence while providing appropriate assistance and supervision

Qualifications

• Compassionate, patient, and committed to providing respectful care
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to follow instructions, care plans, and safety protocols
• Dependable, organized, and able to work well as part of a team
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
• Experience in a care, support, or healthcare environment is preferred
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including assisting with mobility and lifting as appropriate
