The Resident Care Office serves as the Primary Care Provider Office on our campus for the Independent Living population. Our Resident Care RN provides personalized nursing support to residents who live independently within our community. This unique nursing role focuses on building long-term relationships while helping residents maintain their health, wellness, and independence.

Working closely with our Nurse Practitioners, Physicians, residents, and their families, the Resident Care RN plays an integral role in promoting quality of life and supporting successful aging. Responsibilities include assisting with physician clinics and resident appointments, completing nursing assessments, health screenings, and vital signs, and providing treatments such as wound care, injections, and other nursing interventions. The RN also follows up with residents after illnesses, emergency department visits, and hospitalizations, helping to ensure continuity of care and a smooth recovery process.

In addition, the Resident Care RN coordinates care with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare providers while serving as a trusted resource and advocate for residents. The role requires critical thinking, sound clinical judgment, and the ability to respond to resident health concerns and occasional emergencies within the community. Rather than managing a traditional bedside assignment, the focus is on proactive health management, wellness support, and helping residents maintain their independence.
