Resident Chaplain

Job Requirements

Position Summary

This is a stipend position that is educational, and that performance related in that Chaplain Residents provide spiritual care to patients, families and staff and are considered full members of the healthcare team. Acceptance to this position provides the opportunity to complete a one-year Chaplain Residency (four units of Clinical Pastoral Education) with three other persons. Chaplain Residents spend intense time in reading, reflecting and in an educational group setting.

Minimum Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree required

Experience

• Good relationship skills
• Good computer skills

License/Registration/Certifications

• Connection to Faith Group and in good standing (i.e. licensed, ordained, endorsed, or certified)

Preferred Requirements

Preferred Education

• Master of Divinity or equivalent (under some circumstances life experience and other theological training are also considered)

Preferred Experience

• One year or more of ministry experience preferred

Preferred License/Registration/Certifications

• N/A
