What will I do as a Resident Companion - Memory Care?
- Provides personal care services such as bathing, grooming, toileting, ambulation, etc. for residents according to the resident's assessment and service plan (ASP).
- Assists residents with housekeeping and laundry services.
- Assists residents with activities.
- Demonstrates awareness of and sensitivity to the needs of residents and their families.
- Completes documentation of resident service logs, etc.
- Communicates residents concerns and needs to Resident Care Coordinator, Wellness Nurse, and / or Wellness Director.
- Assists with dining.
What is required as a Resident Companion - Memory Care?
- Must have a high school diploma or GED certificate.
- A minimum of 1 year in Assisted Living, Personal Care, Long Term Care.
- Memory Care experience preferred.
- Must have a valid and current CNA certification or willing to complete on-line care giving training once hired.
- Must complete annual training as required by current regulations.
- Must maintain First Aid and CPR certification.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must have excellent communications skills.
