Do you stay calm under pressure and feel called to keep others safe? As a Resident Emergency Response Coordinator (RERC), you’ll provide trusted 24/7 emergency response services for Frasier residents and guests—responding to alerts, coordinating emergency services, and supporting campus safety systems that help residents feel secure every day.

HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL DO

Emergency Response & Resident Safety20% Time

  • Respond immediately and appropriately to emergency or disaster situations, acting within the scope of duties for an Independent Living setting.
  • Monitor and respond to the Momentum Emergency Alert System and coordinate emergency services as indicated.
  • Communicate with resident emergency contacts when residents are transported to the hospital.
  • Complete timely and accurate incident reports for appropriate and confidential distribution; maintain incident tracking logs.
  • Provide overnight safety or visual checks for residents when time-limited monitoring is indicated due to acute illness or injury.

Resident Support and Coordination50% Time

  • Complete daily resident safety and wellness check-ins on day shifts.
  • Notice changes in a resident’s condition, behavior, or safety needs and respond appropriately.
  • Coordinate with emergency services and resident emergency contacts when additional support is indicated.
  • Maintain clear, timely, and confidential documentation related to resident incidents, follow-up, and safety concerns.

Systems, Safety Programs, & Campus Security20% Time

  • Manage and support the Momentum Emergency Alert System in Independent Living, including routine monitoring and maintenance as directed.
  • Conduct frequent walking rounds and door checks to ensure campus safety and building security.
  • Maintain community AED machines on a bi-monthly basis.

Administrative & Team Support10% Time

  • Support routine documentation, communication, and follow-up to help ensure resident safety concerns are addressed appropriately.
  • Work independently and follow established protocols with reliability and attention to detail.

HERE’S WHAT YOU NEED

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Current CPR/AED and First Aid certification, or ability to obtain certification upon hire.
  • One year of experience in urgent response and personal care, preferred.
  • Working knowledge of emergency response procedures, safety practices, resident safety principles, and basic first aid appropriate to an Independent Living setting and within scope of practice.
  • Knowledge of incident reporting requirements, documentation standards, and confidentiality expectations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate clearly during emergencies.
  • Ability to respond physically and promptly to emergency situations, including walking rounds and rapid response to alerts.
  • Ability to remain awake, alert, and attentive throughout overnight shifts.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Starting Pay Range: $20.80 - $23.53 per hour PLUS shift differentials:
      • Evening shift differential +$1.75/hour 
      • Overnight shift differential +2.75/hour
      • Weekend shift differential +1.75/hour
