We are currently seeking an experienced Resident Engineer to join our NYC-area team.Position OverviewAs a Resident Engineer, you will oversee construction inspection and project management activities for highway, bridge, and civil infrastructure projects. This role requires hands-on field experience, technical expertise, and leadership to ensure projects meet design, safety, and regulatory standards.Key ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to resolve construction-related issues. Review project documentation, including plans, drawings, and specifications, for accuracy and completeness. Review and approve engineering and project submissions such as RFIs, working drawings, and value engineering requests. Conduct materials inspection and acceptance prior to installation. Monitor construction activities to verify adherence to plans and specifications. Track, document, and manage project issues and conditions. Document field conditions and completed work. Participate in project meetings and provide technical guidance on construction inspection; record meeting minutes when required.
