We are seeking administration/inspection staff for specific transportation projects throughout various counties in New York.Responsibilities IncludeInspect and document daily construction activitiesPrepare daily diary/inspection reports and weekly progress reportsMeasure quantities of materials used and work performedPrepare/assist in preparation of monthly payment requestsReview claims for extra work and change order costsAssist in coordination of utilitiesInterpret contract plans and specificationsAssist in coordination between the owner, contractor(s) and government agenciesRequirementsThe ideal candidate will have highway/bridge/paving/drainage inspection experienceKnowledge of NYSDOT specifications and MURK procedures and protocol is requiredBasic computer skills are necessary to utilize construction software programsRecent Public Works, NYS Thruway, and DOT retirees are encouraged to applyEstimated Pay Range$45-60/hour.Actual compensation may vary based on related work experience, geographic location and market conditions, education/training, certifications, and other credentials, as well as applicable knowledge and skills.Equal Opportunity/Affirmative ActionBarton & Loguidice is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
