Pay Rate: $120,954 - $219,313
Resident Engineer
Delve Underground is looking for a Resident Engineer with 15-25 years of construction management experience, preferably specializing in tunnels and underground structures, with geotechnical skills and experience as an Owner's Representative.
The ideal candidate must be open to opportunities in the mid-Atlantic to Northeast US, including New York and Washington DC. Relocation assistance will be provided dependent on project requirements.
Responsibilities:
Supervise and manage office personnel, including Office Engineer, Assistant Resident Engineers, and Inspectors.
Advise the Client on all critical project tasks and troubleshoot project issues.
Review field paperwork, to include:
Requests for Information (RFI)
Contractor Submittals
Construction Schedules
Inspection Reports and Logs
Agendas and Meeting Minutes
Permitting
Change Management Logs
Safety Plans and Safety Audits
Contractor and CM Payments
Oversee Change Orders, Claims Management protocol, and negotiate with the Contractor on behalf of the Owner.
Run all construction field meetings.
Oversee field inspections of the Contractor's work.
Interact with the Prime Contractor performing the work and maintain a professional relationship with them to provide the Client with the highest quality end-product.
Maintain open lines of communication with the Client and/or Owner to facilitate the completion of work on time and on budget and to better address construction conflicts in an effort to minimize their impact on the project schedule and budget.
Perform other tasks as deemed necessary to facilitate the construction work.
