Overview
Provides effective physical therapy care in the area of specialty practice. Participates in learner-centered instructional activities in clinical, academic, or community settings. Participates in scholarly activities that enhance professional growth.
Qualifications
Required Education: Bachelors degree or higher in Physical Therapy Preferred Education: Doctor of Physical Therapy
Required Licensure/Certification: Current Florida Physical Therapy license OR temporary Physical Therapist permit with the requirement of obtaining valid Florida Physical Therapy license within 60 days of date of hire/transfer. During this time, the physical therapist resident must be under the direct supervision of a supervising licensed physical therapist while providing patient care.
BLS or ACLS from American Heart Association is required.
Required Experience: Less than 1 year patient care experience Experience gained in school during clinical rotations is acceptable.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Yes, 1-3 employees
Necessary Skills:
• Clinical reasoning & critical thinking • Interprofessional communication skills, including verbal and written • Fine motor coordination, manual dexterity, and psychomotor skills • Time management skills • Experience with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
