Resident Support Supervisor

Position Opening: 2nd Shift (Monday - Friday) 40 hours week

2nd Shift (Weekend) 16 hours week

Position Summary:

Resident Support Supervisor will serve as the shift supervisor and direct the workflow of the contracted STNA staff to ensure a safe, clean environment conducive to the health and well-being of residents and staff. The Supervisor is also responsible for supporting residents related to the objectives of their integrated health and stable housing plan. The Supervisor performs the job responsibilities detailed below in accordance with program quality standards, policies and procedures of Joseph & Mary's Home.

Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for the supervision of contracted STNA staff.
• Monitors STNA productivity to ensure daily tasks are completed timely and efficiently.
• Responsible for onboarding and training of new STNA staff, including assistance with completing the onboarding checklist.
• Maintain a shift scheduling system as directed, ensuring building coverage and appropriate workload distribution.
• Accurately completes all InSync and paper documentation during shift, including but not limited to food temperature logs, emergency drills, shift reports, resident wellness checks, and incident reports.
• Communicates progress towards treatment and housing goals to the treatment team through required documentation in a timely and thorough manner.
• Completes Basic Life Support, InSync documentation, and other core competencies within 60 days of job start.
• Maintains confidentiality, follows HIPAA, and respects residents' personal property.
• Assists residents with self-care tasks as needed.
• Supports residents in taking medications as prescribed by the clinical care team.
• Alerts treatment team and management staff of any emergencies or serious changes in the health and well-being of residents.
• Assist with maintaining an inventory of donated items and items in stock at both Joseph & Mary's Home, to ensure that we have what we need or have a plan to obtain it.
• Assists in conducting, documenting and analyzing emergency drills per Joseph & Mary's Home policies and procedures and accreditation requirements.
• Assist with the distribution of warm meals for residents and visiting alumni.
• Performs housekeeping /maintenance responsibilities to ensure cleanliness and safety of building and sees that all equipment, tools, supplies, etc. are properly stored before leaving shift.
• Assures that established infection control and universal infection precaution practices are followed when performing housekeeping/maintenance procedures.
• Maintains an active presence within the facility at all times, circulating the building and interacting appropriately with other staff, residents, alumni or visitors.
• Reports all unsafe or hazardous conditions or equipment immediately to the supervisors through the Agency-designated forms, documentation, and protocols.
• Follows established fire and safety protocols; completes all drills in a timely manner as directed, including documenting the events.
• Responsible for inspecting all patient belongings during the intake process to prevent any prohibited contraband from entering Joseph & Mary's Home.
• Must attend all required training courses and achieve competencies required by the position.
• Identifies, organizes, and responds to Executive Director''s prioritization of work tasks.

• Receives verbal report from previous shift and reads written shift report within 30 minutes of arrival, noting pertinent information from the previous shift.

• Participates in team staff meetings collaboratively and appropriately.
• Works to de-escalate conflict and complete required documentation related to any incidents.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent required, associate's degree preferred.
• BLS required within 60 days from date of hire.
• Management/Supervisor experience strongly preferred.
• Basic understanding of trauma or willingness to learn.

• Strong PC skills including MS Office, Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, etc.

• Previous experience working with people experiencing homelessness and behavioral health issues, including mental health and/or substance abuse challenges.
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Physical requirements: ability to move up to 50lbs.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is constantly required to walk and stand; use hands; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, hear, recognize, and respond to various sounds; and communicate effectively.

Pay Range: $18 - $20
