Residential Appliance Diagnostics & Refrigeration Specialist

About the role

Sears Home Services is hiring in Delaware, OH, 43015. In this field-based position, you’ll diagnose and repair major household appliances and refrigeration units while delivering top-tier customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Drive to multiple customer homes daily to troubleshoot and repair appliances: refrigerators, washers, dryers, dishwashers, microwaves
• Provide an outstanding customer experience on every visit
• Offer value-added solutions that keep homes clean, comfortable, and protected
• Maintain a clean, organized company truck and manage parts with precision
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• EPA Type I or EPA Universal certification
• Mechanical acumen and skill with testing/repair tools
• Prior appliance diagnosis and repair experience (preferred)
• Process- and quality-oriented; follows directions accurately
• Smartphone proficiency, including ordering parts
• Valid driver’s license for the state(s) where you work
• Up to 100% travel as required
• Ability to work variable, flexible hours with required overtime
• Reads, interprets, and applies technical documentation to resolve issues
• Strong verbal and written communication; reads, writes, and speaks English
• Physical requirements: constantly lift/carry/push/pull up to 20 lbs; frequently up to 50 lbs; occasionally up to 100 lbs
• Constant reaching outward; handling/fingering; standing, walking, sitting; keyboarding
• Frequent bending, squatting, kneeling, twisting, turning, stooping, climbing, crawling
• Occasional reaching above shoulder
• Able to operate an automatic transmission vehicle
• Compliance: Successfully pass a background & drug screen

Compensation

• Base pay: $18 - $30 per hour, based on experience, certification, and location
