As our Residential Appliance Field Service Specialist, you’ll combine hands-on mechanical skill with exceptional people skills to keep households operating smoothly across Dekalb, IL.
What You'll Do
- Travel to customer locations to diagnose and repair major household appliances, including refrigerators, ovens, washers, and dryers.
- Guide customers through findings and repair options with clear, friendly communication and top-tier service.
- Complete routine maintenance and safety checks to sustain peak appliance performance.
- Document work performed, parts used, and customer interactions with accuracy.
- Stay current on emerging appliance technologies, tools, and repair methods.
- Work independently, organizing your day to meet customer needs efficiently.
What You Bring
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training in appliance repair is a plus.
- Hands-on experience as an appliance repair technician or in a closely related field.
- Sharp troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities with solid problem-solving judgment.
- Strong communication and customer service mindset.
- Self-directed with excellent time-management skills.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Comfort lifting and maneuvering heavy appliances and performing manual tasks safely.
