Residential Assistant Superintendent - North Jersey

This North Jersey-based residential developer and builder is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to support the construction of high-quality multifamily residential projects. Working alongside experienced field leadership, this individual will help manage daily site operations, coordinate subcontractors, monitor quality, and ensure projects are completed safely and efficiently.

Description

The Assistant Superintendent will:

• Assist with day-to-day field operations on multifamily and residential construction projects
• Support project schedules and coordinate subcontractor activities
• Conduct jobsite walks to monitor quality, safety, and progress
• Help maintain project documentation, reports, and field records
• Assist with inspections and ensure compliance with project requirements
• Coordinate material deliveries and site logistics
• Identify and communicate field issues to project leadership
• Support punch list completion and project closeout activities
• Work closely with Superintendents, Project Managers, and subcontractors throughout the project lifecycle
• Promote jobsite safety and enforce company standards

Profile

The successful Assistant Superintendent will have:

• 2+ years of construction field experience
• Multifamily, residential, or commercial construction experience preferred
• Strong understanding of construction processes and jobsite operations
• Ability to read construction drawings and specifications
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to coordinate multiple trades and priorities on active jobsites
• OSHA certification preferred
• Desire to grow into a Superintendent role
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and team-oriented mindset
