Cunningham Associates Heating & Air Conditioning, a Southern Home Services company, is inviting an experienced Residential Comfort Systems Field Technician to join our growing team. A day in the life

You’ll start your day reviewing scheduled residential service calls, prepping your stocked company vehicle, and heading out to diagnose and resolve comfort challenges. On site, you’ll explain your findings to homeowners, complete routine and emergency repairs, ensure safe and efficient operation, and document the work. You’ll leave each home with systems running right—and customers who feel informed and confident.

What you’ll handle

• Clean, adjust, and repair HVAC equipment and components, including air handlers, ductwork, vents, and condensate drainage systems
• Diagnose and perform service on residential HVAC systems to keep them operating at peak performance
• Deliver expert recommendations and solutions that address customer needs
• Complete additional duties as assigned

What sets you up for success

• 3–5+ years of HVAC experience, ideally focused on residential service
• EPA Certification is required
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Strong troubleshooting and critical-thinking skills for complex HVAC issues
• Positive attitude and commitment to high-quality workmanship
• Customer-first mindset with the ability to meet diverse client needs
• Professional communication skills with individuals at all organizational levels
• Flexible, innovative team player who thrives in dynamic environments

Physical nature of the work

• Lift 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally
• Climb ladders; access attics; navigate tight spaces; enter crawlspaces; push, carry, and pull; use hand tools; and perform fine detail work
• Ability to drive
• Work in varied environments (indoors/outdoors, attics, crawlspaces)
• Stand, walk, and sit; talk or hear in person and by telephone
• Use hands to handle or feel objects/controls and reach with hands and arms
• Regularly stoop, kneel, bend, and crouch
• Frequent exposure to extreme temperatures (heat/cold) and adverse weather (wind, rain, ice, snow)
