Our purpose is simple: Caring for People & Their Spaces.We're looking for an experienced Residential Construction Estimator to join our growing Preconstruction team. In this role, you'll transform architectural plans into detailed, accurate budgets that help clients make informed decisions and set projects up for success.If you enjoy solving construction challenges, collaborating with project teams, and taking pride in producing accurate estimates, we'd love to hear from you.What You'll DoAs our Residential Construction Estimator, you'll play a key role in the preconstruction process by working closely with clients, architects, trade partners, and internal team members.Your responsibilities will include:Prepare conceptual, preliminary, and final construction estimates for custom homes, additions, and residential remodeling projects.Perform detailed quantity takeoffs from architectural and engineering drawings.Solicit, review, and compare subcontractor and supplier proposals.Develop accurate labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor budgets.Review plans for scope gaps, constructability concerns, and value engineering opportunities.Visit project sites to evaluate existing conditions for renovation and addition projects.Develop and maintain scopes of work for trade partners.Maintain historical cost data and pricing databases.Partner with the Director of Preconstruction to support client budget discussions.Continuously improve estimating processes and cost accuracy while supporting a smooth transition to the Project Management team after contract execution.What Success Looks LikeDuring your first year, you'll be successful by:Delivering accurate, timely budgets that support profitable projects.Managing multiple estimates while meeting established deadlines.Building strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers.Maintaining reliable historical cost data that improves future estimating accuracy.What We're Looking For5+ years of residential construction estimating experience.Experience estimating custom homes, additions, or residential remodeling projects.Strong understanding of residential construction methods, sequencing, and building systems.Ability to interpret architectural, structural, civil, and MEP drawings.Experience obtaining and evaluating subcontractor bids.Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas and cost analysis.Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to manage multiple projects in different stages of preconstruction.Experience with Buildertrend, STACK Construction Technologies, Bluebeam, or similar estimating software is preferred.Technology You'll UseBuildertrendSTACK Construction TechnologiesMicrosoft ExcelGoogle WorkspaceAI-assisted estimating toolsCloud-based estimating and document management systemsCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive salary of $80,000 to $110,000, based on experienceHealth and dental insuranceRetirement planPaid holidays and paid time offProfessional development opportunitiesTechnology-forward work environmentOpportunities for long-term career growthOur Core ValuesWe're looking for people who demonstrate our values every day:Lifelong LearningPositive PassionHumbly ConfidentOwnership & AccountabilityCollaboration in All DirectionsJoin Our TeamIf you're passionate about residential construction, enjoy solving complex estimating challenges, and want to be part of a collaborative team committed to quality workmanship and exceptional client service, we'd love to hear from you.Apply today and help build projects that homeowners will enjoy for years to come.
