Residential Construction Estimator 

CK Contracting is seeking an experienced Estimator for high-end new builds and remodeling projects. The ideal candidate is a very experienced individual who can lead field production efficiently while dealing in a professional manner with high-end clientele. We need a proactive team leader to own this position. This position will ensure projects are run efficiently, and within budget, while keeping our standard of building high-quality homes. 

We are looking for a talented and motivated Estimator to oversee and control the preconstructionprocess. The ideal candidate is a growing professional and team player that can perform in anadministrative capacity and support the preconstruction department as required. 

Responsibilities: 

• Manage pre-construction process for effective customer relationships, andcompanyprofitability. 
• Coordinate work across multiple departments, subcontractors and engineering consultants.
• Communicate with Designers/Customers for clarification of project scope of work.
• Read and understand design documents including blueprints, specifications, and projectmanuals. 
• Contribute to cost estimates and bid solicitations by performing quantity takeoffs.
• Manage opportunities and proposals in coordination with Business Development.
• Contribute to cost estimates utilizing trade partner budgets and quotes, as well as unit pricing.
• Conduct project Kick-off, department review, and management review meetings.
• Maintain trade partner relationships and develop relationships with new trade partners(subcontractors and vendors). 
• Interface professionally with trade partners, architects, engineers, city and county officials, clients,and consultants. 
• Maintain high standards of workmanship that adhere to design documents. 
• Procure Project Permits from local municipalities 

Qualifications: 

• Working knowledge of Bluebeam, Excel, and Google Docs 
• Bachelor's Degree in construction, engineering, architecture, accounting, business preferred
• 5 years of experience as an estimator or Project manager in the residential sector.
• Congenial attitude, willing to take delegation, interested in learning and contributing, reliable andprofessional. 
• Self-motivated, works well in a team environment, and can also be content working in relative solitude on detailed and technical tasks. 

Compensation: 

• $70,000 to $80,000 based on experience
