Oxford Solutions has an opening with a local construction company for a Residential Construction Project Estimator.

As a Residential Construction Project Estimator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate cost estimates and pre-construction preparation. 

Responsibilities

• Reviewing issued purchase orders for accuracy prior to job start.
• Reading and interpreting blueprints to prepare detailed estimates.
• Calculating material quantities and costs, including doors, windows, drywall, and other building materials.
• Collaborating with project teams to ensure alignment with project requirements and timelines.
• Maintaining accurate records of estimates and purchase orders.
• Utilizing Microsoft Office applications for data entry and reporting.
• Meeting strict deadlines with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1-3 years of experience in the construction industry, with knowledge of residential building practices and materials.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints and strong mathematical skills.
• Comfortable working with all Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently.

Preferred Skills:

• Understanding of building materials and their applications in residential construction.
• Prior experience in cost estimating or pre-construction roles.
