Pay & Schedule
- Starting at $23.00/hour+ DOE
- 50-60 hours per week
- Overtime paid at time and a half
- Paid weekly
- Year-round, stable work
Duties & Responsibilities
- Safely operate a residential collection vehicle on assigned routes.
- Service residential customers in a safe, efficient, and courteous manner.
- Complete daily route assignments and follow dispatcher instructions.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, including checking fluids, tires, and safety equipment.
- Operate hydraulic controls to safely collect and transport residential waste.
- Maintain a strong focus on safety while working around traffic, pedestrians, and residential neighborhoods.
- Communicate professionally with customers and coworkers.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Typical Schedule
- Monday through Friday
- Occasional Saturdays as needed
- 50-60 hour work week
- Early morning start times
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
- Physically demanding position requiring frequent lifting, pushing, and pulling of up to 50 pounds or more.
- Work performed outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Exposure to moving mechanical parts, vibration, noise, dust, and other environmental conditions common to the waste industry.
- Must be able to safely enter and exit the vehicle multiple times throughout the day.
Minimum Requirements
- Valid Class A or Class B CDL with Air Brake Endorsement.
- Minimum of 2 years of commercial driving experience.
- Waste industry experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to complete vehicle inspections and identify basic mechanical concerns.
- Strong safety record and customer service skills.
