     Residential Direct Support Professional (DSP)
     

    Evening Shift Requirements

    Monday through Wednesday 3pm-11pm & Sunday 8am-pm

    Evenings: Thursday 3pm-11pm, Friday 3pm-11pm & Saturday 8am-8pm

     

    Overnight Shift Requirements:

    Monday through Wednesday 11pm- 8am & Sunday 8pm- 8am

    Tuesday, Thursday 11pm-8am & Saturdays 8pm-8am

    Position Summary

    As a Residential Direct Support Professional (DSP), you'll provide hands-on care and support to individuals in a residential setting, helping them develop life skills, achieve personal goals, and actively participate in their communities.

    What You'll Do

    • Provide direct care and support based on Individual Support Plans (ISPs)

    • Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including personal care, hygiene, dressing, feeding, and mobility

    • Teach independent living skills and encourage personal growth

    • Administer medications and prepare meals

    • Transport individuals to appointments and community activities

    • Complete daily documentation and progress notes

    • Implement behavior support strategies and assist during crisis situations when needed

    • Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive home environment

    • Collaborate with families, healthcare providers, and team members

    • Perform other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    • High school diploma or GED

    • Experience supporting individuals with intellectual, developmental, or behavioral disabilities

    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

    • Valid Virginia driver's license with a clean driving record

    • Reliable transportation and proof of insurance

    • Ability to pass required background and registry checks

    Preferred

    • Medication Administration Certification

    • CPR and First Aid Certification

    • TOVA or other behavior management training

    • Experience writing therapeutic documentation

    Physical Requirements

    • Ability to lift and assist individuals as needed
